60 kilometers west of Edmonton on beautiful Lac Ste.
Anne lies the Village of Alberta Beach.
Alberta Beach developed as a railway community and was
primarily used for recreation. In 1920, Alberta Beach
was incorporated as a village and over the years has
become a popular resort.
Alberta Beach's population is a combination of summer
residents and year-round residents. The lifestyles of
Alberta Beach is such that many diverse people and regular
guests spend time in the community.
We
have a permanent population of 762. On a busy summer weekend,
Alberta Beach sees as many as 3000 people in the village
either staying with friends or camping
in and around Alberta Beach.
House a business sector as well. Restaurants,
golf courses, small shops, gas, and other services are
available in the village itself. The community is further
serviced by Fortis Utilities, ATCO Gas and Telus
Communications.

Education :
Grasmere school in Alberta Beach is served by the Northern
Gateway Regional Division #10. Approximately 230 students
in kindergarten to Grade 8 attend Grasmere School. Now
over 10 years old, the school offers a full curiculum
including French and Band programs.
Religion :
Four
different Christian denominations hold religious services
in Alberta Beach and area. The Alliance, Lutheran
and the United Churches are active as well as the Lac
St. Anne Mission, the Sisters of Charity, Grey Nuns
and the Franciscan Sisters of Atonement. |
